Bilingue per Gioco was the first blog in Italy to discuss bilingualism with a focus on the everyday lives of children and parents, creating a space for families to share and promoting a play- and relationship-based approach to bilingualism—rooted in patience and trust. Founded in 2008 by Letizia Quaranta, it has accompanied thousands of families raising bilingual children in many languages and in many different circumstances: expatriate parents, couples who speak two or three languages, single parents, and parents who wish to pass on a language they have deeply loved. Every bilingual story is different, yet they all share two essential elements: consistency and light-heartedness.
Bilingue per Gioco is a free space for exchange.

Alessia Raineri PhD is a linguist and consultant for bilingual and multilingual families. After completing her PhD at the University of Zurich on multilingual acquisition and language and learning disorders, she founded Multilingual Land to help parents of children exposed to two or more languages with tailor-made solutions and strategies suited to their psycholinguistic, cultural, and educational goals.
