From a Global Value to Local Action
Zero Discrimination – We All Belong Together is our global solidarity project dedicated to promoting equality, respect, and access to opportunities, using culture, creativity, and education as tools to build bridges between people.
In 2026, the project focuses on the global theme of Zero Discrimination — a universal principle that speaks to the right of every child to feel included, valued, and respected, regardless of origin, background, or social condition. This global value is brought to life through local action in Bangkok, where the project is implemented by BimBi Italiani Thailand in close collaboration with trusted community partners in Khlong Toey, one of the city’s most complex urban areas.
Here, Zero Discrimination became a lived experience: children and families from very different social and economic realities meet as equals, create together, and take part in shared activities that foster empathy, connection, and belonging.
BimBi Italiani is a non-profit cultural organization that brings to life educational and solidarity projects around the world, made possible by the support of those who believe in its values and vision.
JOIN OUR EVENT!
The project was promoted by BimBi Italiani ETS, in collaboration with BimBi Italiani Thailand, the local branch coordinating community-based educational and cultural initiatives in Bangkok, working closely with families, schools, and local partners.
It was further supported by the Missionari Saveriani of Khlong Toey, who provide educational and social programmes for vulnerable children and families; the artist – Wishulada Turning Trash into Treasured Art, known for transforming recycled materials into impactful community art installations; the Samakhee school of Khlong Thoey, which empowers children through participatory art projects and mural initiatives; and Trattoria Fiorentina Il Giglio, proudly supporting the Zero Discrimination Solidarity Project as a partner in community solidarity; Via Emilia, an Italian restaurant in Bangkok, supporting the project by promoting the values of community and solidarity; and Zuza, an innovative beverage brand, participating as a sponsor in support of community engagement and inclusion initiatives; and ELC International Schools Bangkok, supporting the initiative by promoting inclusive education and values of respect, community, and cross-cultural understanding.
The event Zero Discrimination – We All Belong Together, held on Sunday, 15 March 2026, in the heart of Khlong Toey, Bangkok, brought together 86 participants from the international community — including 42 children and 43 adults, representing 27 families — alongside a large number of children and families from the local community, in one of the city’s most vulnerable areas. The initiative aimed to promote inclusion, community connection, and intercultural dialogue, creating a shared space where children from different social, cultural, and economic backgrounds could meet, collaborate, and create together.
Community Connection and Inclusion
Children and families from Khlong Toey and from the international and expat community in Bangkok came together to create, play, and interact as equals.
Through collective art activities led by professional artists — including installations using recycled materials and mural painting — alongside moments of free play and shared experiences, the event fostered:
empathy and mutual respect
reduced social distance
recognition of diversity as a valuable resource
A Success for the Community and Fundraising
Thanks to the generosity of participants and partners, the event raised THB 26,891.71 (approximately EUR 700), contributing concretely to supporting the most vulnerable children in the Khlong Toey community.
The funds were allocated to the “Kids Go to School” programme, managed by the Xaverian Missionaries of Khlong Toey, which supports access to education by covering essential needs such as school materials, uniforms, and transportation, helping provide children with greater opportunities for learning and a brighter future.
Special Guest: Wishulada – “Transforming Materials into Connections Without Borders”
We were delighted to collaborate once again with Wishulada, a renowned Thai artist and social activist whose project “Turning Trash to Treasured Art” combines sustainability and creativity. Under her guidance, children and families contributed to the creation of the artwork “Threads Without Borders”, developed by weaving together recycled materials and individual artistic expressions into a single collective installation.
Through this process, participants not only gave new life to materials, but also built together a powerful symbol of inclusion, collaboration, and connection across communities.
Educational Partner: Samakhee School – Education and Community at the Core
We were proud to collaborate with Samakhee School, an educational institution deeply rooted in the Khlong Toey community and committed to supporting vulnerable children on a daily basis. During the event, the school played a key role in actively engaging local children, encouraging their participation in creative and collaborative activities.
Thanks to their contribution, the initiative became a true space for connection and inclusion, strengthening the link between education, community, and future opportunities.
