An educational program that nurtures Italian language, culture, and identity — anywhere in the world!
An educational program that nurtures Italian language, culture, and identity — anywhere in the world!
Many Italian children and teenagers living abroad grow up in bi- or multilingual environments where Italian often becomes a “weaker” language — mostly used at home and lacking formal educational support.
At the same time, a growing number of non-Italian-speaking students wish to learn Italian as a language of affection or academic interest, but struggle to find programs that match their age, interests, and learning context.
Why the curriculum?
Imparando l’Italiano was created to meet the unique needs of Italian children and youth living abroad. It's a unique program that values Italian language as a skill and as a tool to promote culture and identity.
One of the very few curricula in the world specifically designed for:
Italian children living abroad (ages 3–14)
Non-Italian students interested in the language and culture
Schools, families, communities, and teachers in global contexts
What does the curriculum include?
Each program is organised around up to 30 theme-based sessions. These sessions include special activities tied to cultural festivities. (e.g., Christmas, Easter, Republic Day).
Materials include:
facilitator guide

All provided as resources for language and cultural enrichment.
All materials are designed for both digital and printable use, making them easily adaptable to different educational settings.
