Learn with Mummy’s English Playgroups have been running in various Italian cities since 2011, welcoming children aged 0–10. The approach is 100% Natural English: learning through play and relationships, with spontaneous immersion in the language. From 0–6, children and parents learn together; after 6, children attend independently.
Our teachers are highly specialized and know how to help every child—and every parent—enter English through play.
The Playgroups are for children who are about to move abroad, for cousins who are staying in Italy, and for all children and parents regardless of their level of English.

The Language Cottage (Chiara Gasparotti)
Chiara Gasparotti is an Italian Language teacher. She holds a Degree in Italian literature. Chiara is the head of the PLIDA Certifying Centre in Thailand. Through Mind Your Language and The Language Cottage, Chiara offer Italian language course on site and remote for children. Chiara can provide recognised Italian Language Certifications (PLIDA) level A2, B1, B2, C1 e C2 and PLIDA juniores. These Certifications are used to certify Italian language for children that don’s study in Italian schools.
The Italian language course focuses on progressive weekly classes that are dynamic and interactive. The classes develop muscle memory to improve pronunciation and amplify Italian vocabulary. Each class focuses on four learning skills: hearing, speaking, reading, and writing through play-based activities. The course is designed to meet each child’s needs with a focus on bilingual children who face different challenges in the learning of language compared to non-bilingual ones.

Anna Aresi, PhD is a US-based language educator and translator. She holds degrees in Italian language and literature from the University of Padua and a PhD in Italian Studies from Brown University, with a focus on translation studies and second language acquisition. She specializes in teaching children and assisting multilingual families finding their their unique linguistic strategy. Anna uses her passion for language to help open doors for others: whether it’s translating texts, navigating government processes, or holding a conversation, language has the power to broaden horizons and deepen compassion.
Anna’s family is scattered over four continents: she has family in North America, Europe, Asia, and New Zealand. Her three children are fluent in English, Italian and Cantonese and communicate easily with all family members and friends. Anna is proficient in Italian and English, speaks Russian, French and Spanish, and is working really hard on her Cantonese!
